    Down the rabbit hole it was. Prior to arriving in Burrow Café, André jokingly implied, “burrow? as in burrow?” and dug relentlessly in mid-air. Upon arriving, I understood why it was named that way. In the middle of a small, lush garden was a stairway that seemed to be leading to an escape tunnel of some sort. The footpath ended with a door that opened to the ethereal feels of the restaurant. It was beautiful and that is an understatement.     Casa Xocolat

    The comeback. When news broke out that Xocolat along Katipunan was closing, I felt a tinge of nostalgia as memories within its walls ran in my mind. I have had a number of recollections of this place – from college group meetings to dines out with friends and family up until last year. I loved everything about it! The feels – the homey ambiance it exudes from it’s main dining to the rest room (also because it was a former home! haha); the food – I enjoyed their pastas and their chocolate drinks were heaven in a sip.     Mac and Cheese + Trip to the Farm

    One of my go-to comfort foods is Macaroni and Cheese for the very reason that it is so easy to do. I had two objectives for this recipe : 1) I got home at 5 pm and I only had 30 minutes of window time to catch the natural light for my shots (thank God for summer! the sun sets at 6 pm) and 2) I needed a quick meal to prepare for André’s lunchbox tomorrow before we leave for dinner.
